How Much Memory is in my Linux Box? |

I found a rather nice article on the web about this matter, it was rather short so I just cut and pasted the thing. You can view the original article www.steveglendinning.com/2007/11/04/how-much-memory-is-in-my-linux-system/
I came across a really handy tool for listing the number of RAM sockets you have, and what’s currently in them all. The tool is dmidecode, and it’s installed by default on Debian Etch: hopefully this will save me getting the screwdriver out in future! This information is here to serve primarily as notes for Kinetic Bands internal uses, they are web accessible only in hopes that the information contained may be useful to others, this data was copied in part from the following source, you will find additional information and troubleshooting info there. http://www.steveglendinning.com/2007/11/04/how-much-memory-is-in-my-linux-system/ |
